Here’s couple of examples of movie, musical and concert arenas in Norrmalm. Skandia-Theatern situates in Drottninggatan, what is lively shopping prom. Skandia-Theatern has been in use since 1923. The architect of the building was Gunnar Asplund.
Another movie theater Filmstaden Sergel is on Hötorget, what is outdoor farmer’s market square one block from Drottninggatan. On one side of Hötorget is Stockholms Konserthus, light blue building with pillars facade. It has been built in 1924-1926 from the architect Ivar Tengbom’s plan. Nobel prizes are given there every year in 10th of December. Kungliga Filmharmoniska Orkestern i Stockholm has Konserthus as home scene.
Oscarsteatern is the best known musical theater in Sweden and it situates in Kungsgatan 63. It was built in 1906 and named after King Oscar II. Oscarsteatern is art nouveau style building and there’s presented musical productions.
