Art Nouveau Vectors

I did a couple of vector illustrations with Illustrator.

These two Art Nouveau style digital illustrations are made for showing my vector illustration skills with Illustrator. Another one got also strong 80’s vibe to it.

Lux Helsinki 2016

I shot videos and took photos also this year in Lux Helsinki Festival.

This year was eighth time when Lux Helsinki was arranged. Helsinki Cathedral was lighted again by seven artists. Festival had new route in the middle of Helsinki and I liked more installations this year than the last year. You can check the route from their website:

I shot two videos with my mobile and made the one from Ateneum façade 7x faster and added music to it. Installation was made by Finnish collective Sun Effects and it’s name was Candy House.

In the lowest photos is “An She Said Yea” installation made by Kalle Mustonen, what was in the window of Bar Loose. It was tribute to 22-Pistepirkko’s hit Onion Soup. CLOUD was in the crossing between Annankatu and Kalevankatu and people could walk through it and switch on and off light bulbs from the pull-chain switches. CLOUD was made by Caitlind r.c. Brown & Wayne Garrett.

Old Church Park

In Old Church Park, Ruttopuisto were lots of different lights and lampshades from different artists from Aalto University and University of Aalto Arts. Installation all around the park was called Lantern Park. Another installation what is in video was made by Kari Kola and it’s name was Color Park.

Suomenlinna In Winter

I went to Suomenlinna in very cold day to take photos.

I went to Suomenlinna in January 6th, holiday because of Epiphany to take photos. It was -22°C and all the trees and bicycles next to sea were covered with beautiful hoarfrost. Suomenlinna is islands where’s fortress near to Helsinki city center. It takes about 15 minutes with ferry from Kauppatori, market square in Southern Helsinki to Suomenlinna.

Suomenlinna belongs to Unesco’s World Heritage List. Suomenlinna has good website, There’s for example skyview over Suomenlinna in summer and winter, where you could have good view to the islands.

Toy Museum

There’s six museums in Suomenlinna, Suomenlinna Museum, Ehrensvärd Museum, Submarine Vesikko, Military Museum, Toy Museum and Customs Museum. I went to Toy Museum, what situates in pastel pink wooden villa. There’s collection of antique dolls, teddy bears, games and other toys from the early 19th century until the 1960s. I spotted also Muumins and Mickey Mouse toys. There’s Café Samovarbar in the villa, what offers delicacies baked on site.
